LLC (MDS) Named to Develope the Firm Booth and Broker
Hand Held Trade reporting Computer for the new Automated
options Execution and Auction Trading System for the American
Stock Exchange (AMEX)
Parsippany, NJ – May 21, 2004 - Micro Design Services,
LLC (MDS) has been selected by the American Stock Exchange
(AMEX) to design and build the floor booth and broker
hand-held computer interfaces to the new AMEX New Trading
Environment (ANTE), a new electronic options auction style
trading platform. MDS will develop the functionality and
visual displays on both the booth and broker hand-held
computer-trading platforms so that brokers can auction
and execute electronic options orders on ANTE as well
as execute orders in the auction market.
The ANTE system combines the superior price discovery
of the auction market system with the increase in speed
and efficiency of the electronic trading platform. ANTE
will make for tighter markets and allow our customers
to come in and access the full advantages of a screen-based
trading system without sacrificing the outstanding liquidity
traditionally provided by our trading floor. ..
