50 Global Technology and Front-Office Solution Providers
MICRO DESIGN SERVICES, LLC (MDS), has been named number
25 in the Securities Industry News and Financial Insights,
an IDC company, first annual list of rankings of the Top
50 global technology and institutional front-office providers.
The list encompasses significant services providers such
as institutional broker-dealers, prime brokers and correspondent
clearing firms as well as traditional technology vendors
that provide front-office solutions.
Those technology providers listed were ranked according
to their number of desktops or seats, a quantifiable statistic
on which many providers base their pricing. This, according
to the SecuritiesTech 50 organizers, provides a "fairly
accurate refection of the providers' influence on the
industry, as desktop penetration should more or less correlate
with market shares or trade volume."
